Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before submitting your film

Effective: April 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Film Expo India 2026 film submission portal operated by Exhobuzz Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By registering or submitting a film, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Important: All submission fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. Please read the full refund and cancellation policy before proceeding to payment.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to register and submit a film.
You must be the copyright holder, authorised producer, or distributor of the submitted film.
Films must have been completed between 1 January 2023 and 30 June 2026 to be eligible.
Films previously screened at Film Expo India in any prior edition are not eligible.
Dubbed version films are not acceptable — only original language versions with English subtitles.
Films made primarily for TV channels, OTT platforms, or cable TV are not eligible.

2. Submission Process

Each film must be submitted in one category only (Feature, Short, Documentary, Animation, Experimental, or Student).
There is no limit on the number of films you may submit — each requires a separate fee.
The submission form must be completed in full with accurate information. Incomplete or misleading submissions will be disqualified.
Your screener video link (YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive) will be collected after payment confirmation only.
The screener link must remain active and accessible until at least 30 September 2026.
All cast and crew details must be entered correctly as they will appear in the official programme.

3. Submission Fees & Payment

Indian Filmmakers: ₹1,499 + 18% GST = ₹1,769 per film.
International Filmmakers: ₹2,999 + 18% GST = ₹3,539 per film.
Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We accept all Indian cards, UPI, Net Banking, and international Visa/Mastercard/Amex.
All fees are non-refundable, including in cases of non-selection, withdrawal, or technical issues.
GST invoices will be issued automatically after successful payment.

4. Copyright & Rights

You confirm that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licences, and clearances for the submitted film and all content within it (music, footage, images, performances).
Exhobuzz Pvt Ltd is not responsible for any copyright infringement within submitted films.
If selected, you grant Exhobuzz Pvt Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use clips (up to 2 minutes), posters, and stills for promotional purposes across digital, print, and broadcast media related to Film Expo India 2026.
You retain full ownership of your film at all times.

5. Selection Process

All submissions are reviewed by a duly constituted selection committee. The committee's decisions are final and binding.
Exhobuzz Pvt Ltd reserves the right to accept or reject any submission without assigning a reason.
Selected filmmakers will be notified via email by August 2026. Selection status is also visible in your dashboard.
If selected, DCP (Digital Cinema Package — unencrypted J2K Interop or SMPTE, 24/25fps) is required for the actual screening. Our team will guide you through DCP submission.
Once a film is selected and confirmed, it cannot be withdrawn from the programme.

6. Prohibited Content

Films containing the following content will be immediately disqualified and reported to appropriate authorities:

Content that incites violence, hatred, or terrorism.
Sexually explicit content or child sexual abuse material.
Content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property without authorisation.
Defamatory content about real individuals or organisations.

7. Limitation of Liability

Exhobuzz Pvt Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, failed payments, or non-selection of your film. Our total liability shall not exceed the submission fee paid by you.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. All disputes arising from or relating to Film Expo India 2026 or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts and forums in New Delhi, India.
